Ruth qualified as a Solicitor in 1998 and has lived and worked in the Huddersfield area since 2000. Ruth has significant experience and expertise in family law, dealing extensively with child care matters such as contact and residence disputes and care proceedings, as well as all other areas of family law including divorce, cohabitation disputes and issues arising out of domestic violence, pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements.
Ruth has also considerable experience in advising and representing clients on financial issues arising from divorce, both within formal court proceedings and through alternative dispute resolution processes. She trained as a collaborative lawyer in 2007 following which she has assisted a number of clients to arrive at agreement on issues relating to finances and arrangements for their children through the collaborative law process. Ruth is also a member of the Law Society's Family Law Accreditation Scheme.
