Robert is Senior Partner of the Firm.
He entered into Articles almost 40 years ago in February 1970. He was Articled to Roger Bentley, a well known and respected Company Lawyer and has always been involved in Company Commercial work. He has also engaged in many other areas of law including conveyancing of both residential and commercial property, planning and he undertook one of the largest litigation cases the Firm has dealt with. For the last 25 years he has been predominantly a company commercial lawyer advising many businesses, large and small, local and regional and, increasingly, with overseas connections.
A keen golfer, walker, gardener and part-time chef he has been a Governor of Wakefield Grammar School Foundation for the last ten years, has served on the Committee at Woodsome Hall Golf Club and provided pro-bono help and support to several local charities.
