Leanne is a qualified solicitor in England and New Zealand. She has specialised in employment law since 2003, working at Citation plc, Bradford MDC and at Eversheds LLP in Leeds. Leanne has undertaken a full range of employment matters, from representing clients in employment tribunals, advising on TUPE related matters to drafting employment contracts.
Leanne recently completed a PhD which focussed on the employment rights of professional rugby league players in Super League. The PhD considered the competition's organisation, regulation and the effects of various measures such as the salary cap and "Club-Trained Rule" for the employment of professional players.
